RISINGS' END OF TERM BASH

Parents and students enjoyed a ram-packed afternoon at Rising Academys' end of year Prize-Giving with a warm welcome song, a rousing rendition of the national anthem Land that We Love,', skits, prizes and a heated debate!

Biggest of big congratulations to Alex - bagging certificates for best in class JSS1 for science, English, highest exam average and awarded the ultimate accolade for excellence and outstanding performance - a well-deserved Student of the Year, sports shirt and bundle of goodies.

Also winning big little lady Faith for achieving the highest exam average in her class, Destiny for being most punctual in hers, and honours even for Knox best in science (JSS2), Miss Mya (JSS1) and Barney (JSS2) for highest exam average in English - well done there you kids!

After a warm welcome from Principal Ansu Charles, opening remarks from HR's Bintu Bangura and the prize-giving everyone enjoyed a play about prisoners and pardons with some sage advice for us all from Leo.

The day rounded off with a heated debate about whether mobile phones should be allowed in the classroom with Alex and Barney putting forth opposing views and judged by Hope's very own national coordinator Mr William Tieh joining the judging table!
