QUICK BROWN FOX: HOPES' FREE SUMMER SCHOOL

Hopes' first free summer school launches with twenty children from York, Tokeh and Big Water.

Providing free learning materials. breakfast and a cup of tea our summer school focuses on younger kids struggling with basic reading and math, as well as pupils recently promoted to class 6 who take the national primary school exam next year teaching real questions from past papers by two qualified teachers, getting the kids used to the change in gear from homework to assignments as they face their crucial exam.

To help the youngsters see and hear the whole alphabet everyone has a go learning "The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog" with Uncle James, the shortest sentence with all the letters in. Meanwhile our summer school class 6 learn all about essay writing with Uncle Kamanda learning key components and how to structure compositions.
