MOA WHARF: EDUCATION IS THE KEY

School report cards at the ready the Moa Wharf kids are happy receiving a brand new school bag packed full of essential kit for the new school year thanks to the generosity of the Aspida Global team supporting Hopes' educational programme this year helping unlock disadvantaged kids potential.

Uncle Williams and Momo, our resident coordinator do the honours presenting the school bags packed full with exercise boks, pens, pencils and a sharpener, eraser and ruler to he 23 children who brought their end of year results. While some of the kids in our kinship fostering programme remain on holiday upline with the start of the new school term postponed for another week because of the deteriorating political situation so another distribution next month is planned.

Eduction support for these children orphaned by Ebola or living with a disability helps some of the most marginalized families in Sierra Leone living in this resilient slum community keep their kids in school instead of selling on the street, the key to improving the kids prospects and a brighter future.
