HOPES' HOT HARVEST

45 seconds of hot pepper action as the Hope Sakuma Ladies return to harvest their bumper crop of carefully nursed and tended hot pepper to be dried and sent to Mama Mayila's Cradle so the kids have pepper for rainy season.

The Ladies make a welcome return harvesting our hot pepper from traditional heaped beds, thriving in the #Azolla and duck enriched soil. When these lovely hot chillies finish harvesting over the next few weeks the team will transplant the perennial peppers upland giving them the chance to settle in during rainy season while this pepper paddy will transform once again to a rice paddy.
