GATHERING NUTS IN MAY

Here goes Samuel gathering Hope Sakumas' first harvest of nuts on a not-so-cold and frosty morning from cashew trees planted back in 2018.

Interplanted with nutritious cassava, these equally nutritious cashews, both drought-resistant, are key value chains helping rural communities in Sierra Leone, like ours in Sanda Magbolontor, adapt to climate change impacts.

And to help tackle climate change and off-set the farm's carbon emissions, Hope Sakuma plant around 450 trees a year, these cashews grown from the nuts of the fist few years' growth.
