BEST MOTTO WINS THE DAY!

Mo Bangura

Track-side action from Rising Academy's second annual sports meet. First up the young athletes proudly parade together before the Big Bean Bag Challenge, won by Mighty Patricia House. With hair dyed in house colours of orange, Alex wins gold in the junior 200m and 800m as well as the 50m frog jump race and 3-legged race for Mighty Patricia, while Knox secures silver in the intermediate 200m and 800m ahead of Barney in bronze. Held at the Seventh Battalions’ parade ground in a sea of vibrant colour we find Leo, Faith and Barney in blue representing Mighty Jalloh House, motto – We lead, others follow; Destiny in yellow for Rashid House motto - Train hard, win easy; Miss Mya pretty in pink representing Mighty Lenna House, motto – Perseverance and Alex and Knox with hair dyed in their House colour of orange, for Mighty Patricia, motto - In God we Trust. And perhaps not surprisingly the best motto wins the day!
