WINNOWING THE RICE WITH MAMA MAYILA

Mama Mayila and Aunty Zainab are helping the Ladies of Hope Sakuma thresh and winnow and polish an amazing 3 tons of rice - 60 fifty kilo bushels of nutritious country rice from the Sanda Magbolontor boli lands - now that's a lot of rice! More than has ever been undertaken in the Chiefdom.

While the last pile of rice is being polished by aunty Zainab and Hassan the hessian sacks are resewn by the village tailor - they're way too big holding 75 kg a lesson learnt for next time!

Then Zainab helps measure the rice carefully into the sacks which are then sewn up nice and tight for their journey! Soon we'll be following journey to Freetown where it's destined to feed some hungry kids in our kinship fostering programme in one of the most deprived communities in Sierra Leone.
