TEACHING BIOLOGY IN THE YARD!

Mo Bangura

Garden's looking good kids and useful too! How lucky to have some tomato and pepper plants on hand for a biology lesson - Uncle Andrew not only teaches math, here he can be seen giving the kids a practical demonstration of "the ovary, the part of the flower that produces fruits" and then the rare sight, in Sierra Leone at least, of the teacher sitting with the students, a really good way to build rapport and encourage focus.
