CHRISTMAS SUPRISE!

Excitement rules as the kid's welcome some very special diaspora visitors to Mama Mayila's Cradle on Christmas morning and we are reminded of children less fortunate.

Hailing from Texas, USA, Mr Rogers Snr brought his whole family including his daughter, Neima, who wanted to visit to celebrate her 10th birthday. This charming young lady kindly brought the kids marvellous Christmas presents - the very best kind - brand new school bags filled with goodies to aid their education!

Neima loved the way the girls did their hair and was impressed they each did each other's - the girls have promised to show Neima how next time she visits!

SHOCKING CHILD LABOUR IN SIERRA LEONENeima proved a very thoughtful young lady and most concerned at the way children are often treated in Sierra Leone, she was very upset that young children walk the streets selling in the hot sun everyday and through into the early hours of the morning. A very persceptive young woman - it's true children appear to be an integeral part of the economy in Sierra Leone and its just not right. In fact, it's not far short of child labour. An economy based on child labour. Kids should be in school, getting an education that will empower them to rebuild this nation.

Guys thank you so much for your visit - giving up part of your Christmas day to spend with the kids meant a lot to them and ABSOLUTELY inspired us!
