MAMA MAYILA, MARENKA’S MOKABA MEET

Mama Mayila and the Hope team take our Dutch volunteer Marenka to visit Blessed Mokaba Community Hospital, Freetown to meet old friend, Dr. Frank N'yama, doctor in charge.

A tour of the hospital by Madam Josephine Nabay, Matron gave Marenka a chance to meet some of the under 5’s and young mothers the hospital helps and also to witness, first-hand, the day-to-day struggles the hospital faces with limited resources and access to modern medicine and equipment. Mama Mayila, Marenka, Dr Frank and Matron Josephine then spent some hours talking about the hospitals many needs and practical ways we might be able help.
