AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY TO MANAYS

MAMA MAYILA'S EMOTIONAL JOURNEY TO MANAYS Here you can see Mama Mayila talking with the Sabenti Women's Co-op and village elders, Chairman Mohammed Obaka translating into Temne.

Mama Mayila explains how it is an emotional day to return to Manays, Sanda Magbolotno Chiefdom, Port Loko after many years friendly separation from the late Pa Bangura. Mama Mayila says how happy she is her sons Mo and Abubakarr are helping their fathers village of Manays and how her sons are making everything so to help her in her struggles to feed the many orphans of deadly Ebola, cared for at our centre and in Moa Wharf.

A VERY MANAYS THANK YOU And so the Ladies sing their thanks to Mama Mayila, the daughter with such a big heart for coming this long way and in rainy season too! The Ladies sing of how Mama Mayila has her mind has back to the place where she married – of how she has brought her sons back to help - she will always be Mayila Bangura and they will always hold her in both hands and feet.

YOUR HELP NEEDED - MAYBE YOU'D LIKE TO HEAR THE LADIES SING?

Maybe you'd just like to hear the Ladies of Manays sing for you and enter the Manays story, maybe you fancy your name inscribed on the old school house or maybe you just want to give this one village a hand up. Help us help this one village become food independent and provide food security for 190 really vulnerable kids please donate to our Farming Fund:

Donations received this summer will pay for the co-ops registration, provide a new drying floor for rice and peanuts and make some improvements to the old school house to make it a community storage facility.
