NATIONAL SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Noah and Katie were proud to attend Sierra Leone's National School for the Deaf annual thanksgiving service, held at the glorious Samaria Worship Arts Ministry church in Waterloo, on the first day of Deaf Awareness Week 2017 raising awareness for the deaf communities right to skills and social inclusivity.

During the service the lessons and hymns were all signed from the front and in the pics you can see Noah, who lives with us at Hope ICC and Katie, supported by our community foster care programme at Moa Wharf.

After the thanksgiving service all the honoured guests pinned ribbons on the children. These are donations to the schools fundraising project - this year the school need a new bus to transport children from all over Freetown to and from school every day. If you want to help the school in their quest for a school bus you can donate here:

If you donate to the National School for the Deaf new bus we'll pass on (publically) your donation to our good friend and school principal Ms. Winifred Kamara.

The children were marching on the first day of Deaf Awareness Week 2017 for the deaf communities right to skills and social inclusivity.

You can see Noah with Uncle Mohammed and oposite Katie doing a very quick march indeed!
