MAMA MAYILA'S MABRON MEET II!

3/6 MAMA MAYILA MEETS MABRON ORPHANS At the first registration event at Mabron, Newton community, Mama Mayila and William registered 11 children as Mama Mayila explained:

"We're making good progress. By starting our registration we're honouring a promise we made to the children and the Mabron community."

The team took some time to get to know some of the children and National Coordinator William Tieh said:

"It's fantastic to be back at Mabron. We learnt a lot at Moa Wharf about gaining trust and finding the truth behind each child's story. This way we can work to reunite them with their familiy."

HEADS DOWN! Heads down, steady hands and nimble finger required - looks like everyone's lost in the magic of bead making - thank you Aunty Marenka, what a great idea and we can't wait to see the results....

11/1 BEADTASTIC! On hearing the news of their bracelet bounty the girls put on an impromptu display of their latest creations from a kind donation from Aunty Marenka and were further rewarded by a gift of more than 16,000 (very tiny) beads (that make beautiful earrings); some tools and silver findings to create some quality jewellery - earrings and chokers and coiled bracelets with proper fastenings - things to create intricate designs.

15/3 A BEADING WE SHALL GO!

Here's the kids at Mama Mayila's Cradle thoroughly enjoying making more beautiful bracelets and necklaces from the bounty donated by Hart voor Afrika, guided by dedicated volunteer Marenka!
